Each visual in this series represents one of the top 10 single-season home run performances ever recorded by an MLB player. The total number of dots in each piece matches the number of home runs hit that year, while the colors reflect the team the player represented during their historic campaign. Each date shown represents a game in which the player hit multiple home runs during the given season.

Example: Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs during the 1927 season, represented below by 60 navy blue and red (the New York Yankees' primary colors) dots. He recorded eight multi-home run games during that season, with the dates of those games displayed on the red dots.
