Nate Kingz led the Orange with 27 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field. It marked his third game this season with at least 25 points and helped Syracuse improve to 14–11 on the year. J.J. Starling was also impressive, finishing with 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting and adding 4 steals.
For Cal, Dai Dai Ames led the team with 23 points. Milos Ilic recorded his first double-double of the season, totaling 16 points and 14 rebounds.
