Yaxel Lendeborg led the Wolverines with 26 points and 12 rebounds, recording his fourth double-double of the season and helping Michigan improve to 20–1. Much of his scoring came at the free throw line, where he went 13-for-15.
For Michigan State, Jeremy Fears Jr. paced the Spartans with 31 points on 9-for-20 shooting and 12-for-14 from the line. He also filled the stat sheet with 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals on the defensive end.
