Rookie Kon Knueppel led the Hornets with 34 points on outstanding efficiency, shooting 10-for-16 from the field, including 8-for-12 from three-point range. This marked his fourth game of the season with at least 30 points and helped Charlotte improve to 21–28. Brandon Miller added 23 points, while LaMelo Ball finished with 22, giving the Hornets three 20-plus scorers.
On the opposing side, Knueppel’s former college teammate Cooper Flagg poured in a career-high 49 points on 20-for-29 shooting. His previous high this season was 42 points.
